Sculpture for Photograph

My idea for this project originated from thoughts about relationship between contemplation and action -- the internal and the external. As artists we are encourage to produce experience. Art (in most cases) acts as the physical manifestation of an idea or the catalyst for a sensation. It is rooted heavily in the material world. I want to question this.















While my approach utilized very tangible material, I intended for the narrative to evoke ideas of separation and contrast. It is apparent that the masking tape acts as a garment or a skin that is in transisiton.
